Visit of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (MoAFW) of India to KeyGene

On Friday, April 12, 2024, KeyGene had the privilege of hosting a notable Indian agriculture ministerial delegation, led by Mr. Manoj Ahuja, Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (MoAFW). The delegation included distinguished officers such as Mr. Priya Ranjan, Joint Secretary of MoAFW; Dr. Ranjit Singh, Director of International Co-operation; Mr. Satya Pinisetty, First Secretary of Economic & Commerce from the Embassy of India; and Mr. Sritanu Chatterjee, Senior Policy Advisor from the LNV Department at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in India.
During their visit, discussions were held with KeyGene’s CEO Roeland van Ham and Dr. Shital Dixit, Director Business Development Asia at KeyGene. The focus was on illustrating how KeyGene’s expertise and technologies are already generating value for its partners in India. Additionally, there were talks about areas where KeyGene could further contribute to enhancing crop productivity, quality, and resilience within the Indian agricultural landscape. Collaboration possibilities were explored, particularly in horticulture crops, ornamentals, and industrial field crops, underscoring the pivotal role of technological advancements in addressing global food security challenges. Such exchanges signify a promising pathway for fruitful cooperation between KeyGene and Indian agricultural stakeholders.
